any way putting hecate (a powerful pre-olympian mystery deity) as artemis's (a state-worshipped olympian) formerly mortal "handmaiden" of sorts patriarchal and seems like an attempt to rein in mystery cutls of non-olympian goddesses who were considered too wild and not state-controlled
