aww nona im so sorry

that sounds like a horrible thing to deal with. poor doggy and poor u :c

our dog sort of had mild incontinence problems her whole life but they got worse as she aged

she also got bitten by a venomous snake when she was about 8 or 9 and it did a number on her. we had to "teach" her to walk again. she was such a strong dog though. i remember a few years after the snake bite when we took her in for an appointment a few of the women at the vet clinic excitedly called each other over to show she was still alive

in the end she couldn't walk properly and i think her sight was rly bad too :c

it did get rlly awful to witness. he had such a rapid deterioration at the end, for a couple of weeks he was particularly bad with his wandering in circles while crying. it used to be that when the back of his body collapsed u could set him on his feet and he'd be able to go on walking again, but then suddenly overnight that wasn't the case. at like midnight he collapsed shaking and was able to get up once or twice after that but then he couldnt even with support and was just shaking, panting and crying

i had to take him to be put down bcus nobody else could bear to do it, id been saying this was coming for a while but they didnt want to thinkabout that

even though i cried and felt guilty for ages, but as i argued then, it would have been cruel to force him to keep going. he was full of tumors and too old to operate on.

he was a pretty quiet dog, but then he'd bark loudly and for ages at stupid stuff like waking himself up with his own fart, lmao
