Anti-penis sentiments fuck us up really hard tbh

It’s an insidious form of internalized patriarchy I think.

A lot of cis lesbians and other queer cis women see this thing where the phallus is a symbol of male power in our society and think the way to fight that is to see it as repulsive and a negative, but that doesn’t actually take away that patriarchal power. The real way to fight it is indifference, to recognize that it’s just a body part and that it can’t invalidate their identity as lesbians, because being a lesbian isn’t defined in terms of opposition to penises to begin with, that’s totally cis male centric. Queer womens identities have to be about queer women, about standing for ourselves rather than standing against the other.

Y'gotta recognize that at the end of the day, it’s just a plump, leaky clitoris.
