they are but sometimes mi ppl attempt suicide and then recover/improve

nayrt yeah, i was suicidal as a teen and made an attempt, got hospitalized, etc

i wouldn't say i'm necessarily doing better but i haven't gotten that suicidal again for years (outside one incident of bad medication side effects that was fixed after going off the med)

so i'm really glad i didn't succeed because i have hope i can get better in other ways beyond not wanting to seriously carry out a suicide attempt
