i pick and it takes 5ever to heal bc i keep scratching and picking the same spot all the time. i have one on my knee that's been there almost two months.
criminal minds is the stupidest fucking show. like i have literally never seen a stupider show with more irresponsible portrayals of psychiatry, mental health and criminal profiling
the bechdel test is officially dead. in its place i’d like the propose the obnoxious gifset test. the obnoxious gifset test states that a work is feminist if it has enough female characters to make a gifset with either “you can be the king, but watch the queen conquer” or the “screw writing strong women” post on it
the ancient gentleman beside me spent the whole flight reading explicit gay erotica in large print on his kindle. we have landed and he is long gone but I will remember him as a good omen, a guiding light of following one’s heart to set me on my way. godspeed, gay porn grampa. you live on in my heart.
also i spend so much time indoors and never leave the house my mom will probs die of laughter if i'm like "so it turns out i'm allergic to sunlight" lql
tbh profiling as its presented on that show is 100% nonsense, criminal profiling irl is nerds in cupboard offices running four month statistical analysis on crime in a given area and then getting ignored because police prefer racist assumption to actual crime stats
i think she's the reason i'm watching tbh, i have a crush i think
also i took a couple criminal justice classes in college before i figured it was not at all for me, and it's interesting to try and figure out which real serial killer case inspired an episode. kind of like house and berton roueche
lol aw biba being allergic to the sun isn't that bad. you just have to take some practical steps and know your limits.
there are toooooooons of shirts and sleeves with UV protection in them, i've got a pair for the car and a pair i carry around. i recently started getting eruptions on my face so now i have to wear a big goofy hat.
even the bau at the fbi is way different, they go somewhere, tell cops what to look for, and then leave, they don't actually track criminals themselves or anything
i agree! our mindmaps of what we look like does not always match up to what we actually look like, and i think as human beings that is very important to acknowledge. it’s what makes things like being kin such a powerful release for a lot of people. sometimes i don’t feel like a human, i feel like the internet, or a car, or the archetype of the trickster or the hero or what have you… we may have meat shells but our minds are infinite galaxies and maps of nodes and when we do things like draw our personas or make avatars on online games we are… expressing ourselves in ways that we never could have before.
I’m interested in TRANSHUMANISM and VIRTUAL REALITY and CREATING IDENTITY because the raw base nature of humanity HORRIFIES me
