they either cut around them or take them off entirely depending on the surgery, it's not rly a big production

nooooo well they do it while you're under anesthesia! they just cut back the circumference so it's small like a dude nipple

if they're cutting the whole nipple off and reattaching it (which they will unless the person had tiny tits to begin with) there's not reason not to cut the areola down to a reasonable size

wah this makes me want to scream

do they do this for breast reduction for cis women as well bc if they do i just changed my mind about wanting it, i'd rather have a backache for the rest of my life than a weird nipple surgery

they do sometimes but it depends on the reduction

they remove nipples entirely during top surgery, then sew them back on
