did school lunch time rly fuck anyone else's eating habits?

i still can't make a meal last more than 20 min, even tho i haven't had to eat a meal in under 15 min for more than 8 years

it sounds kinda strange but one of the teachers had some sort of vendetta against my class in elementary and middle school (she changed schools when we did oh god). even if we were the first in the lunch line thus given plenty of time to eat, she would force us to sit down and be the last in line. by the time we sat down with our lunches pretty much over half of lunch time was done.

been scarfing down meals and getting heartburn ever since :c

we got 45 minutes, but our ~1500 student school only had 3 lunch periods that were 45 min long. it was a spread out campus, so it might take as much as 5 full minutes to get to the lunch room. there were 2 lines, so on a bad day u had 200-300 ppl in front of u. if u got 15 minutes u were lucky

what i hate the most is breakfast lines. they have no mercy if a student is late because of their bus or traffic or what have you. i live in a pretty poor community and the number of times kids in my neighborhood have gone without eating breakfast because the bus refused to come is ridiculous :c

omfg i feel u, about 2/3rds of my school got reduced or free meals, and they used to have a 15 minute breakfast break between morning classes, but they moved it to before school. if u wanted breakfast they were like "well just get there earlier". like that'll make buses show up earlier

fucking hate that. a lot of kids depend on those meals but school administrators could care less tbh
