TOP POST: My original post. BOTTOM POST: Using another one of my blogs and altering the original content. I’ve taken down a bunch of posts recently that I found to be altered beyond recognition when rebogged. It didn’t used to bother me when people deleted some content from my posts until recently when people changed the content or tone of my posts - especially my TEXT POSTS. When I posted about this elsewhere people were incredulous that this could be done to an original post. Yes - on Tumblr people can put words in your mouth! I’ve already seen the potential of what this can do on my craft posts where someone will delete the entire post, leave the photo, and write, “This is f**king ugly.” Or on much more important posts I’ve made about hate speech and Neo Nazi Blogs on Tumblr. This will definitely change how I use Tumblr in the future.
If you posted something of yours - like a photo, craft or an outfit post would you like someone replacing your original post with “ugly and disgusting”? OF COURSE NOT.
