i don't believe that but in effect lots of ppl defend sex work itself bc of the sex workers who describe it as a choice and a positive experience (eg, it's just a job like any other, so why make it taboo.)
there is an understandable reluctance to find something inherently wrong w it when there are women who make the choice to do it themselves, so many don't feel comfortable making that generalization
i don't have a well formed opinion myself yet bc my experiences don't touch on either, and like others, i'm reluctant to make a judgment about it. but at the same time idk why this nona is actig like it's not discussed bc it is
