i'm finding that most of the YA books i enjoy tend to be the longer ones. maybe it's bc the thinner ones never quite get where i feel they should go, unless they're the novel in verse type.

it's like with mandy hubbard's books under "amanda grace", but i love him and the newer one. they could have been super good, but they were too short, and her writing style isn't strong enough to carry them there.
