advice pls?

i'm sick, it's contagious, and i have to turn in an essay for a prof who usually only accepts them in person

how do i phrase "i'm sick and if you see me in person for me to turn this essay in, you will get sick too" in an email so that it isn't awkward or gross

you don't? email them, say "i'm sick, it's contagious, is it possible to submit this electronically instead?"

if they say no, that's their problem, not yours, assuming you can drag yourself all the way to campus to submit it

they may ask you to visit a doctor and get a note

if they won't accept it through e-mail or w/e and demand you come in, then just go, they brought it on themselves
