also when dealing with the younger fans keep in mind the age difference and act accordingly, it's creepy otherwise

can you give an example? i am older & not in fandom per se, but sometimes i wonder if i'm acting creepy on tumblr. i do not initiate conversations with younger ppl who follow me, but when younger ppl have messaged me, i always wonder if i'm being creepy when i reply

i can't think of anything specific, but it's just common sense. think about how you talk to younger ppl i real life, or if you were their parents', what you would and wouldn't be comfortable with them talking about with strangers and just follow that. basically no sex talk or vulgar language.
