ugh so sick of articles like "i took up ballet/yoga/zumba/tennis and overcame my depression!"

honestly i wish there was a different term for major depressive disorder because although the symptoms are similar it is nothing like the kind of depression that these articles talk about. what i have is chronic and physiological. i will be taking medication for the rest of my life (in probably ever increasing dosages) and i can only "manage", never "overcome."

i almost find myself wishing i had a different diagnosis sometimes.
