if no one uses (i still do but apparently there's no point) it and the mods don't even check it, what purpose does it serve?

and tbh i don't think it's used any less. we close posts at 5000 comments, and we're going through like a post a day. ofc there are going to be less things in each post's deletion thread, even if the amount of trolling per day stays mostly around the same
