i don't read homestuck but how come i got dogpiled once for liking a male character who was a horrible person even though i acknowledged that he was horrible and i didn't endorse his actions

like because it's a male character i can't defend it with feminist cred and i should thus "know better"

but making other real life women feel bad for the male characters they like, when they are in fact aware that said dudes are shitty? idk just isn't cool

i already hear enough about how i'm a dumb fangirl, itd be nice to just have people accept i like who i like and am capable of separating fiction from reality
