i buy new clothes when the old ones are thoroughly worn out to the point of being unwearable

i bought a new pair of jeans a couple months ago because my old pair developed a hole in the butt

the old ones had had frayed hems and holes elsewhere for about 3 years (i had them for 6) but i didn't care until there was one in the butt
