nayrt, but sometimes in movies (igss to not waste movie time?) they'll just have people walk right into houses w/o actually unlocking a door. the only scenes i can think of where someone actually unlocks a door is when it's used in the plot (like if they're taking too long to unlock the door and miss an important phone call, or when someone in a house hears a key in the lock and knows someone just came home, etc)

same w/ how they usually have people hang up phones w/o saying goodbye or anything. it's not something you usually notice but if you do notice it, you start to wonder about it lol
