sfsdhf why does everyone want to voice chat? ;~;

this guy i've known for a while but haven't talked to much lately was all 'yay diablo 2! i started playing again!' and i was like 'yay i will join you! video game happy fun times!'

i was just about to start up a room for us and he was like
'oh btw do you have skype? it's easier to communicate!'

and like
i know that's a perfectly reasonable request
but i always freak out when people ask that even if i know them because ehHHHhghh it's so awkward i hate it i hate my voice
