i love love love my apartment, it's so cheap and the layout and location are fantastic

the problem is stupid shit is often mixed with oppression shit, and as long as anything related to oppression can NEVER be funny and NEVER be laughed at, you get communities like sf_d and fandom_wank which are overwhelmingly humorless and cringe-inducing

one of my friends is having gallbladder surgery and i feel for her and all because i was there a few months ago myself and it was ungodly as far as pain went. but she has been irritating the piss out of me because she keeps complaining about -how annoying- it is to follow the diet until her surgery a week from now. she just can't have jello and bland foods to control the symptoms, that just -doesn't work- for her. she's having such a hissy fit over the whole thing. but then she complains too about why her attacks aren't going away at all. i can't imagine why that is. she's been eating fast food every day, like mcdonalds and pizza.

i didn't like it either but i had to weigh what i preferred: bland diet for the two weeks i waited for my surgery or like 16/10 pain and feeling like death was coming for me at any moment.

sorry, need to vent about this because she's lashing out at me because she hurts and i feel bad but it's also sort of self-created and i don't have the heart to tell her that.
