my friend's bday is coming up. we had a fight several months ago because her and her roommate decided to blow up when me and someone else suggested rescheduling a get together because of bad weather (no not exaggerating). they carried it on into a 2-week-long fight where she insulted my mental health, implied i was worthless, and said i was a horrible friend for not answering emails right away (though almost always within the same day, i guess it wasn't fast enough still for some reason) and for not always being always discussing uncomfortable or traumatic things happening because i wasn't ready to talk about them yet. she hasn't talked to me since.
obviously i'm still a bit upset about that but we were friends for like 10 years and had a lot of good times and i think her blowup was the result of depression and stressful times she was just taking out on me. she never did anything like this before. should i take the step forward and wish her a happy birthday at least? should i wait and see if she ever contacts me on her own (she didn't wish me a happy bday a month ago)? do the things she said and did show it's better off not having her in my life?
