Kurama jumped out of a half doze to find a much healthier looking Hiei leaning over to one side.
Somehow, he managed to stop his eyes from watering too much and reached out to grab Hiei’s shoulder.
“How are you feeling?”
“…tired. Sore.”

For a moment, Kurama let Hiei catch his breath, take in the information.
“I bet you’re hungry.”
“…is there meat?”
Kurama smiled.
“There is. Wait a little bit, and I’ll cook it for you.”
“…thank you.”
Kurama rushed out of the room, his smile stuck to his face at the rare show of appreciation from Hiei. Likely, he was still mildly out of it, and would be for a couple of days. Maybe he could get all sorts of amusing dialogue out of Hiei now that he was be okay enough to talk.
Hiei slowly sat himself upright. He’d been changed into Kurama’s old clothes…the T-shirt was a long faded pink and hanging down off one of his shoulders, and the shorts barely hung around his hips.
…Kurama had stripped him, then. Probably washed him.
Hiei shuddered. The idea that Kurama had seen him like that…had touched him in his most private areas…all while he was so ill he couldn’t even remember the entire last 5 days…
