at the library i work at, one of my co-workers is a devout christian and also a huge manga fan. she was reading after school nightmare but was too afraid to check out the books at the desk because she didn't want anyone to see her checking out a book with two dudes kissing on the cover.
i tried to explain to her that non-weeaboos can't really tell the difference between male and female anime characters and they all pretty much look the same to us and no one would give the cover a second look and most people wouldn't even know that the back cover is actually the front of the book anyway. but she didn't understand.
