i don't think i've ever heard anyone my age refer to disabled people that way, but i have def heard old people use it like that. as far as i know most of my peers know what "lame" means in that sense, but none of them would call a person that (tho i think i've heard it used by someone roughly my age to describe like, an injured horse or something)
