it's not recommended bc certain foods can be dangerous but primarily bc of nutritional and behavioral concerns
my dog is in great shape (and it's better for her to gain weight than lose any) but she has to take 5 pills a day so I have to constantly rotate through different human foods to get her to take them. lol I wish it was as easy as people who go "have you heard of pill pockets?" or "the trick is to cover it in peanut butter/stuff it in a hot dog/cube of cheese! :)" make it out to be
