help me plan my ideal garden/back yard
for the garden: im thinking raised beds with various tomatoes, chilis of different kinds, onions, corn, squash (idk wht kind.. and what about melons?), idk what else. im not sure about fruit trees. definitely a lemon, maybe orange
for nonfood plants: lots of roses, some cacti, a big tree for shade
also for design or w/e idk if i want a firepit or a fountain or sth.. i remember seeing a manmade creek at a house once, just a tiny thing and tbh i love that idea a lot idk how it worked tho

one thing to know about gourds (squash/cucumbers/melons) is they suck the nitrogen all out of the soil so you can't plant them in the same place year after year. you have to plan to move them and rotate with nitrogen fixing plants like legumes and clover.
i'd look into permaculture if you want to do the stream thing. the biggest thing is going to be keeping the pool from being stagnant and developing algae so you probably need a pump to circulate the water.
