tbh i always feel sorry for the families of the killers unless they justify what they did or smth

but if it's just some innocent kid or whoever w/ a relative that was a sociopath

there were just all these recurring troubles in her life, trying to forgive for her own sake but obviously never actually forgiving because she continued having nightmares about him and never speaking about him without cursing him

having to advise friends in a new place to not tag her kids in pictures and ultimately having to let them know what was going on, and watching to see how they reacted

hearing on a fucking tv interview that stephen king wrote a book based around your family, like it's a fucking writing prompt

i remember someone saying they didn't believe she was genuine bc "why would she suddenly care about stephen king giving her dad a big head if she had no contact w/ him and won't send him pictures of his grandchildren"

like what?

how does that even begin to follow logically

right? it doesn't make any sense. i guess he thought "i don't want my dad to feel validated bc his fav author wrote about him" = "i love him and want to protect him from all the meanie authors of the world"

he was also saying she was being "oversensitive"

i don't even know how ppl are able to lack so much empathy

it was a good read but if there's any justice in the universe her father will be rotting in hell
