iirc: it tried to be a real con but it flopped and the conrunners asked all the attendees to try and raise thousands of dollars in the middle of the night or they were going to lose their hotel i think? and they either didn't pay their invited guests or paid them really really late

promised a bunch of celebs that didnt show up

didnt spend the money they collected as they said they would, so almost lost hotel reservations despite ppl buying tickets for them

were obnoxious tumblrines irl

had welcome to nightvale fly out as a favor (they were touring in another city at the time, paid for their own flight and hotel stay to the con) in order to do a performance but refused to pay up front, promised they would pay "after the show" by walking 2 the bank and getting the money (lol) so wtnv cast had to walk

tried to rile up attendees by spinning it like wtnv sucked and just walked out

basically just mishandled funds
