She's by no means perfect, but she is much more approachable than I think her descriptions make her sound, which was the question here. The way I see it is that she's the person who has the time and wherewithal to actually set it up and be willing to mod-- so there are basically two options: make suggestions and offer to help and influence the way it evolves, or let the things I'm unhappy with continue to grate on me. I'm really happy someone decided to do it, so I'm going to nudge her on the things I don't like and see what happens. It might end up sucking but I'd much rather give it a shot. I did already leave a couple suggestions and questions, so we'll see. I think "I'm concerned these descriptions seem unapproachable and here's why" is totally valid criticism and someone should suggest it to her.
