cis people don’t compliment trans people the way they do other cis people. trans women are ‘majestic goddesses’ but they are never allowed to be ‘pretty’. trans men are ‘cute’ and ‘small’. it isn’t positive or empowering. it’s stupid and is probably the equivalent of a bunch of sour-faced suburban moms cooing at a toddler who smeared lipstick all over their face - doesn’t she look LOVELY?

ia this is a problem but in my circle on tumblr i see people call trans women pretty or gorgeous all the time, and trans men handsome or hot

its usually the uwus that dont know how to compliment someone and like, call butch lesbians "they" lol
