would ignorant opinions be a deal breaker in a friendship for u?
i've been getting to know this person and i rly like her and we have a lot in common but she has this mentality that women who dress provocatively are ~asking to be catcalled and that women should dress conservatively "for their own protection". it doesnt come up often, only a handful of times, but also its bc i actively avoid topics where it might i think. obv i dont agree with it at all and ive said as much but we end up just kind of awkwardly moving on to the next thing so its not like im setting out to change her mind or anything. i dont think i could.
its dumb but its also such a common dumb that idk if its rly that big of a deal to overlook? or is that fake af to pretend its nbd.
all my fronds are at the very least bbfeminists who look up to/listen to me, if not full fledged feminists i have discussions with so i dont have this issue
i mean it would depend on the opinion, but that one would be a dealbreaker for me personally
where i used to live i experienced being catcalled a LOT even when i was dressed very slobbily and i pretty much always dressed conservatively tbh. if i shared that w someone and they didn't change their views i would be very annoyed
