i crave chipotle burrito bowls all the time these days but i cant afford to keep eating out

do u think i should buy ingredients to try and make them at home (or just any kind of burrito bowl) or would it be nasty. im not a good cook and idk how hard it would be.

thats what intimidates me, all the recipies i look up call for so many ingredients and i can see myself fucking up. also dnw to spend tons of money buying all these spices and herbs i will only use to make burrito bowls.

the only thing u should be using spices for is in the hot sauce (unless ur specifically making sofritas which they do cook w/ spices), which u can buy premade

burrito bowls are really hard to fuck up. doesn't chipotle cook their meats plain anyway? u just need to be able to cook rice, heat up beans, and safely cook ur meat. then add hot sauce and cheese or w/e u normally get

im not sure, i thought maybe they had ~special spices~ or smthn (tho their meats aren't in any sauce i dont think so mb not). i cant tell spices by smell or taste or anything but if its just plain i could prob do that. i think i will try tonight with things i have in the house and see how it turns out. hopefully not groce.

nah they don't use anything special. their mild sauce is pico de gallo, medium is green chili salsa, hot is red chili salsa and u can buy all of those at the store premade

chipotle is going to taste a bit better bc economy of scale lets them have slightly fresher ingredients but it's not going to be inedible

i can't get it to taste as good, but it's not rly that hard to make sth similar

add a little oil when you cook your rice, then mix in some cilantro and a little lime. cooking it w chicken broth can help too. i usually use the cilantro paste u can get in tubes in the produce section.
