idk if this helps but i don't have a lot of money for expensive groceries either and i'm trying to lose weight/eat healthier so i mostly just eat brown rice/frozen veggies/canned beans for lunch/supper on weekdays and then buy more expensive food for my weekend meals and i find that helps a little
