anon doesnt get that japan would portray a trans narrative very differently

lol lots of people thought naoto was trans in the beginning of the game

naoto really wanting to be a girl was the plot twist

naoto also came to the conclusion that they were going to do things their own way.

yeah it's almost like there's no "correct" way to be a girl

still means she's a girl

not arguing otherwise, i just think that it didn't fall to the 'omg japan is so shitty about trans ppl'

we do, but we're not talking about japan at large but a company that talks about sexuality and gender quite often and doesn't shy away from exploring the psyche. the fact that a person who was questioning doesn't magically get over that questioning by the end is amazing

except in the end she was like 'o im a grill lol'

meh defeating a persona doesn't mean u fully got over shit. everyone still had to fight through their issues even after they got over the big hurdles. it was still handled in a realistic way imo
