wuthering heights is the beautiful story of two codependent sociopaths destroying each other and everyone around them, that people interpret as a romance for some reason (ie a woman wrote it)

i've also heard its interpreted as a whatsit for the industrial revolution but that sounds like horseshit to me

i'm sure the industrial revolution influenced it given the time and place it was written in, but i don't think it's a full-on analogy or anything
