These people are brilliant. Not only did they capture a feeling. The feeling captured them. I've been to Japan. I like the way they do things... Here in USA people are concerned about outward appearences. The Japanese culture takes more of s Gestalt aproach. Process is more important than content. It is not always what you have, but what you do with what you have. Case in point: there only 4 strings on a bass, and 3 valves on a trumpet. In the hands of a novice, a bass is just a bass, and a trumpet is just a trumpet, but in the hands of a master, infinity is unlocked with the touch of his hand, the same is true with a trumpet. These people are masters of their art.
We’re discussing scent and pheromones and oh my god
LESBIANS CAN LITERALLY DETECT OTHER LESBIANS BY SENSE OF SMELL AND WILL AUTOMATICALLY PREFER THE SCENT OF OTHER LESBIANS LIKE THERE IS SCIENTIFIC PROOF OF THIS I LOVE IT I LOVE PHEROMONES
This explains gay-dar. It’s not a sense of just knowing it’s the fact that we can fucking smell each other
i'm kinda surprised that tumblr hasn't invented new terms for sexuality for agender & genderfluid people (agender lesbian makes no sense). or am i just being a sweet summer biba?
Speaking as a heterosexual white male, I can see that there is a difference between ‘real’ attraction and compulsory heterosexual attraction. I am also the straight version of the gay friend, so my experience may not be the same as yours. Lets try explaining with a few bullet points.
Are you interested in that person because you’re suppose to be so that you will fit in? You might be following compulsory heterosexuality. Are you interested in that person because you’re religion only accepts heterosexual couples? You might be following compulsory heterosexuality. Are you of the female gender and chasing after a friends brother when it’s really her that you can’t stop thinking about? You might be following compulsory heterosexuality. Are you of the male gender and afraid of what the guys in the locker room will think if they find out that you like their butts? You might be following compulsory heterosexuality. The question then become, how does one identify compulsory heterosexual behavior? I suggest the following three questions in an inner dialog.
Is my attraction intellectually or emotionally based? Does the projected opinion of friends and/or family factor into the attraction? What is it about this individual that I find attractive? Though I know that it can be difficult at times, my last piece of advise is this. Always be yourself.
I have a guy friend who currently looking into transsexuality to see if he might be trans because he really connects with Nomi on all the levels. they're actually super alike personality wise and he's actually works in tech and it's truly amazing for me to witness tbh.
ME: trans men and trans women have nothing in common TRANS MAN: what about this shit i just made up? ALLIES: yeah, what about that shit he just made up?
its a stupid rule to demand to forum goers censor their slurs
everyone knows what ur saying. its insulting to act like its somehow less bad for me to be exposed to the same word but with an asterisk in the middle. either ban slurs or dont
J'accuse the LGB community (and the rest of you). We have failed our sisters and brothers. These aren't a bunch of drag queens that turned an unfortunate trick after entertaining you at the club before you drove back to your bedroom communities. These are human beings. Just as the lesbian community carried us through the AIDS epidemic, LGBs owe it to our own. True this is not necessarily a matter of sexual orientation but gender identity; but the T in LGBTQ means they too are a vulnerable, marginalized community such as our own. Are you (we) taking them seriously? Hiring them? Renting them rooms and apartments? They are not a novelty. I've heard plenty a gay man reduce MtoF trans wit the quip "oh but their hormones make them so volatile". Listen Queen, it's no match for your Crystal Meth addiction. It's time to do more, spend more, shout more, volunteer more. I'll do my part, will you?
i feel rly bad for young trans kids who get stuck with tumblr politics because this site with so many young impressionable kids is overtaken by loud aggressive young adults with agendas in the LGBT corners
i wish i could think of alternative sites to recommend them when i see them but then all i can think of with trans communities are Laura's, susan's and reddit
online trans discussion and community sucks basically no matter where you go
