Two women suffered non-life threatening injuries when they were shot on York University campus in Toronto on Thursday night, emergency officials say.

One was transported to a trauma centre, the other was taken to hospital. The campus has been locked down.

Emergency personnel are on the scene and police have set up a command post. A suspect was seen running from a campus pub — The Underground — located near the middle of campus and its student centre.
