*: Canonical Different Gender Love Interests. the usual term is usually CFLIs (Canonical Female Love Interests) because it’s used to discuss the way that dudeslash fandom dismisses female characters and perpetuates misogyny. But I needed a term that could be used to refer to the monosexism and bisexual erasure that goes on in both dudeslash and femslash fandom circles, hence… CDGLIs.
