rme at ppl that act like not cooking isn't a generational problem
u grow up w/ no home cooked meals and nobody teaching u how to cook anything that isn't out of a box what do u think is going to happen? choosing good fresh produce isn't instinctive, u aren't born knowing how to cut different things in different ways so that they cook well. if ur an adult wanting to learn how to cook u have to invest in pans, pots, spices, oils, knives, etc. then get veg (which seems awfully expensive when $4 has bought you an entire premade meal up until this point), maybe fruit and meat, and try to cook it. if u make a mistake at any one of these steps (crappy veg, gross meat, cheap pans that don't cook evenly, crappy knives that don't slice well) it can ruin the whole thing. so here u sit w/ half a week's paycheck resulting in gross ass food u can't even eat. why the hell would they try again?
proper nutrition isn't about learning a recipe. and it's not as tho having a recipe in front of u beams all cooking knowledge directly into ur brain and turns u into a chef
pick easy things to cook? seriously, cooking is just making sure things are hot for x amount of time. i hate cooking and i don't even think it's rocket science
and where did u find out something is easy to cook? if u have no prior knowledge and just google "easy meals" a lot of things seem intimidating bc u have never tried it before, not to mention unhealthy as shit
lmao if someone is this helpless, idek what to say. of course it's intimidating, but you're not the first person to learn how to cook. you just get over it. i never made chicken before bc i was scared i'd undercook it, but i followed a recipe and it turned out fine. and...idk, modify your search to "easy healthy meals"? you're making a big deal out of nothing
