i disagree about turning str8 characters gay, that's not something i will ever care about and if they're not bashing her writing slash instead of canon het is not misogynist by itself
maybe that was worded poorly, i dont care abt turning straight characters gay but i find it offensive when authors do it by using the context "a man dating another man is the purest sort of relationship and more important than a man dating a woman" bc its sexist, antiquated garbage. there's nothing inherently sacred about a male/male relationship that couldn't be found in a female/female one, or a male/female one.
