i feel like you have to see the magic of the double paperback cover with the peephole cutout to truly understand

its trashy lit, i dont think you need to get too deep into it

also its one of those books that get passed around when you are younger. sleepover books, etc

+1 it's one of those books where something taboo and terrible happens and you feel like you might get in trouble for reading it but it's just trashy lit
