sry but i don't actually have a problem with cis authors writing trans characters as long as they're not fetishizing us because i'd kind of rather have trans characters actually exist

i especially don't have a problem with it when they're writing it for a trans friend, and the trans friend is feeding them info to make the story as respectful and realistic as possible

it's almost like trans people have differing opinions and that having a different opinion doesn't make a person not trans
