one of my faves is the gay xtian guy that softy reblogged:

Walking back and forth around the church, I happened upon a conservatively-dressed woman and a young gay man yelling at her: “The Bible is just a BOOK!”. I intervened. The woman was not a member of the church, but had heard about the protest and turned up to support the church. She was respectful in her conversation. I calmly explained to her what my life with my partner was like, that I wasn’t anti-religious or anti-Christianity, but that this was something that spoke deeply to me. That I was exploring my relationship with God, but that being with my partner was something I experienced as deeply spiritual.

At the end of our conversation she thanked me. She said she’d always thought gayness was “just a sex thing,” that hearing from me about how I experienced my relationship was really causing her to question what she’d been told. She offered me a hug, and then she went home to do Bible study.

clearly the homophobe was the victim all along bc she just didn't realize that being gay was more than sex!
