Nice strawman. I don't give a fuck about the word "lame"; I don't use it myself. I have no idea about how the OP feels about it, either. I do know that the only person I know with an actual mobility disorder uses it freely and doesn't give a fuck, but I'm sure there are many others with similar conditions who don't like it.

You appear to be heading for the familiar territory that posits that anyone made anxious and unnerved by extensive language-policing is just a bigot in disguise yearning to hurt people with nasty words, and when you start with that kind of bad faith, there's not exactly much in the way of discussion to be had.

This is part of the problem with SJW rhetoric: there are tools contained within it by which anyone who objects to its practices may be made into a villain. One of those ways is framing the distress of someone struggling with the social quicksand of extreme SJW spaces as inevitably the protests of a bigot and therefore born of feelings that are less valid than those of the oppressed minorities who oppose them. (Regardless of whether the person objecting is oppressed on any axis themself. If they reveal that they are, it's internalized -ism, or for whatever reason they're just not as oppressed as the minority who agrees with the practice that's being objected to.)

I'll grant that sometimes this is because the person objecting to an SJW practice and the person defending it have been in different...atmospheres, might be the word for it? When I was hanging out in SJW spaces, a lot of the practices espoused by my friends made me uncomfortable, but some of the links I've followed since then to other SJW spaces have shown me that it can be much worse. Someone who's used to a circle of friends who have sensible discussion of problematic things, avoid outright slurs, and have differing opinions on whether it's okay to call something "dumb" may identify those behaviors as the "awful SJWs" someone is objecting to and be disgusted by the objection. Only a bigot would have a problem with such behaviors, clearly! Except later it turns out that the person objecting has been watching friends get dogpiled in arguments over whether there should be a space between trans and woman and being harangued for not tagging their post about their conflicting thoughts on the US Thanksgiving with "tw: genocide."

I don't have a link to arguments that it's wrong to use transphobic/homophobic instead of cissexist/heterosexist right now; there've been deletions and renames (thanks for not redirecting that shit, tumblr) since I last saw them. But it shouldn't be too hard to find.

about 3000 for summer and 1000 or so for winter
