I've actually been talking with my husband about doing something along those lines with the girls. I'm not really sure about the whole house enduring the whims of the girls. The idea we've been mostly bouncing around has been to get them their own mini-fridges, declare the kitchen stock and stockpile off limits, and tell them to do their best to feed themselves. If I gave them double what I spend, they would have trouble.
